For FTP to your site, you can use two different links:
1. ftp.yourdomain.com(.net, .info, etc…)
2. ftp.888-hosting.com
Either will work but if you want to make a secure file-transfer connection you must use host1.888-hosting.net and you just use your cPanel username and password, not a sub FTP account that you create in cPanel. Those accounts are not capable of SFTP connections.
Your FTP client should automatically default the correct ports for either SFTP or FTP, but, if it does not and you need to add manually:
FTP – port 21
SFTP – port 22
