For FTP to your site, you can use two different links:
1. ftp.yourdomain.com(.net, .info, etc…)
2. ftp.888-hosting.com
Either will work but if you want to make a secure socket layer connection you must use ftps.888-hosting.com and you just use your cPanel username and password, not a sub FTP account that you create in cPanel. Those accounts are not capable of ftps connections (Secure connection).
Your FTP client should automatically default the correct ports for either FTPS or FTP, but, if it does not and you need to add manually:
FTP – port 21
FTPS – port 22
